- Election Fever Grips Carpenters - Which sport should we play on the school field?
As election fever gripped the country yesterday, the children at Carpenters school were gripped with election fever of their own! While the people of Great Britain were heading to the polling stations, our children were exercising their own democratic right to vote, to choose which sport is played on the school field this Summer Term.
Thank you to our head boy, Yusuf and head girl Sofia, alongside the school council in year 6, who took on the role of campaign leaders and put forward some powerful arguments to encourage people to vote for ‘their’ sport.
The school council are delighted to announce that ‘Tag Rugby’ will be the lunchtime sport for children across the school this term with a staggering 145 votes.
